Getting people onto the team, and keeping track of them once they are there.
Join requests
Players can ask to join your team themselves rather than you collecting email addresses and adding each one by hand. A request lands with the captains, who approve or decline it. The player is told either way, so nobody is left wondering.
Adding players yourself
You can also add someone directly. Search first — if they already have an account from another team, you attach the existing player rather than creating a duplicate, and they keep their history. Set their role at the same time: player, assistant, or captain. Anyone with an admin role gets the tools described across these pages.
Photos and player cards
Players can upload a photo, and admins can upload one on their behalf. Tap any name on the roster to open their player card — position, jersey number, role, status, and any awards they have won. The same photos are what turn a plain text lineup into something worth posting.
Jersey numbers
Jersey numbers are stored per player and shown next to names on the roster and on lineups — so you stop guessing who number 14 is, and stop handing out a number somebody already has.
Membership cards
Players can store their USA Hockey registration number and DaySmart membership ID on their profile and pull them up as a card in the app. Handy at the rink when someone at the desk asks for a registration number and it is sitting in an email from August.
Career history
Each player has a career view spanning every season and every team they have been on here, along with their reliability rating. Rolling into a new season does not wipe any of it.
Export
Need the roster somewhere else — a league registration form, a spreadsheet, an insurance filing? Export it to CSV from the roster page.
Team identity
Upload a team logo, set an abbreviation and a spoken name, and record your official league name. The logo shows up in the app and on the emails your players receive.
Rinks and opponents
Save the rinks you play at and the teams you play against. Opponents carry their jersey colors, which is what powers the clash warnings on game day.
